iCoDaco 2016 will connect various organizations/presenters in VGR to collaborate with each other and with international partners. Establishing the Swedish leg of iCoDaCo 2016 in VGR will place VGR on the international map as a supportive and inviting region for artists and the creation of new artists work.
Both in the creation process and in the performance period, we will expose the audience in VGR to fine international contemporary dance.
The project is very inclusive of the public. Basing it in VGR offers a unique opportunity for the habitants and the visitors of VGR to participate in the making of a fresh, vivid and original artistic process.
Inviting our international collaborators and partners to VGR for the activities of iCoDaCo will potentially plant the seed for additional initiative in the future.
In the collaboration with Gothenburg International Dance and Theater festival, we form an original model in which an existing large festival hosts a more intimate and mobile festival like iCoDaCo. This pioneer partnership will draw a lot of attention for the international contemporary performing arts sector into VGR.
We will host internationally acclaimed artists in VGV for a new creation process. This is a very exciting and attractive attribute of our project for the international contemporary performing arts scene.
We are planning a regional tour across VGR in late fall 2016 as an additional development of the project. This tour will bring tourists from the rest of Sweden and neighboring countries to watch our performance and participate in our interactive activities in VGR.
