I am a professional dancer in modern dance and teacher of Iraqi folk dance and oriental dance. When I was 12 years old, I was put in contact with the Iraqi Artists’ Union and the then head of the union, Gazzi Fiezel (who is at present head of Iraqi TV in Mosel). I was accepted as a student in the union’s dance education programme. I have subsequently taken many other courses in dance in Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Algeria.
